Mod Features:

This mods main focus is about adding more celestial body types and extending the existing ones. Which means more size and effect variety, new bonuses and abilities. Also some new researches are included but only things that had to do with colonization or avoiding effects from planet/star abilities. Also this mod contains special scenarios some of them taking place in our own solar system.

Current Celestial Body Count: 104

Overiew of Celestial Body Types:

- Desert 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)
- Ice 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)
- Terran 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)
- Volcanic 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)
- No Atmosphere 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)
- GasGiant 2 Sizes (Small, Big) and 2 variants (stable gas and unstable gas)
  also colonizable via new researches
- Homeplanets (Terran, Desert, Ice, Volcanic, PirateBase)
- Blackhole (from 7 Sins Mod with new fx)
- Deep Space Sector
- Nebula
- all existing asteriods, stars etc. have now adjusted sizes and gravity wells.
- White Pulsar (star with new ability)
- Blue Magnetar (star with new ability)
- 6 different Companion Stars (for multi systems)
- 44 different Celestial Bodies of our Solar System.
  (14 with a unique texture, thanks to Cybdevil)
- special scenario planets, like Consciousness of the Unity

- new HUD icons, pictures and Galaxy Forge icons
- new player portraits
- new Milita and Starting Templates
- new planetary bonuses, abilities and researches

New Galaxy Forge setups:
- for all new Planets
- Random for Sizes
- Random Moons
- Random Companion Star
- Random Anomaly
- Updated orignal setups with new planets


Here are some ideas and things that will be included with future releases:

- new bonuses and abilities for planets and stars
- new planets and stars
- New Maps and Updating my maps with events/story
  (if ever possible)
...

Known issues:
- sometimes the corona effect of the companion stars are shown before you zoomed in or explored the star,
  The problem exists with all effects that attached to meshes via mesh points.
  (see the TEC starbase you will see the glow on the top before the body shows up, too)

vanilla Version issues:

- only the custom scenarios appear in the map menu, to fix this:
  Sins treats the mod's Galaxy folder as the Galaxy folder,
  meaning it ignores the standard one if a mod has one. 
  So the solution is to copy/paste every map you have in the Galaxy folder
  in your Sins install folder into the mod's Galaxy folder. (Thanks to SpardaSon21)

Why is there a titan thats all clouds? Same with venus. I Prefer the uncloudes titan and the clouded venus. so i removed the other titan. But i just deleted one of the venus textures and it looks like a cool ocean planet. just needs to be a little brighter.

How do i post screenshots? i have a few i want to show you.

I was just using his work and for me it looked fine, I only made the mercury texture, and that looks not good.

a cool ocean planet

Its not showing up.

And is it possiple to open the planet textures in paint and alter them? I'm trying to make Ceres and Kharak(Wraith's Homeworld mod).

And i think the only thing that needs changing on mercury is it needs to be brighter. That and it looks green.

One more friendly criticisme before I return to my game, the earth's forrest areas look black instead of green. And the picture cybdevil was using for the texture must have been taken in winter because the arctic is an ocean. Not a glacier

Yeah its possible i made mercury that way. as a base i used one of the non atmosphere textures from cybdevil and i added a new layer with a mercury image i found in the internet. The rest was a bit cosmetic work. You will only need a dds plugin (if you used Photoshop).Or Gimp can it open by default?!

If you finished Ceres, can you send me the texture or a link? then I can add it to CB Mod (with your permission and credits for you).

And you mentioned before that Ceres is not an ice dwarf. Here is a wiki link.

I decieded to make it as an iceplanet cause of its color and the temperature. Cause I think if you make our sol system realistic most planets will be "no atmosphere" and for me its a little boring. So I decieded to spice up some planets, to have more variety.

I'd like to start off saying great job on the mod. It opened some possibities for me to make some theme style maps. I have been trying to create an Honorverse style and a Stars At War style of mapplay. Several items in the mod make this far more possible.

Problem: Having issues getting it into galaxy forge. I followed the directions in the read me, but have not been able to get it to load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you unpacked the files you got a "icons_GalaxyForge" folder that contains the icons that are used in the Galaxy Forge Tool, these icons (only the icons not the folder) must be copied into the "icons" folder of Galaxy Forge.

The next step is overwriting the "GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef" file you will find it in:

"Celestial Bodies Mod\GameInfo" folder copy this file and go to the root folder where also the galaxy forge exe is included, and put it in there. Backup the original one if you want to make unmodded maps, or backup the whole folder before.

If you now start the Galaxy Forge 3 it should work...

Are you sure you dont have the 7DS galaxy forge? It may not work with it.

And actually, Ceres has a surface mainly of an iron rich clay and dust. It is similar to a C-Type asteroid witch the surface contains some Hydrated minerals so there may be some ice yes. but its mainly 'rusty clay' witch same as Mars, gives it that reddish color. So It would be classified as an ice planet. I never said it wouldnt its just the surface features of the SoaSE ice planets are way different. I would have put it as a desert just because it looks more like one.

So im an astronomy geek. So what. Dont judge me!!!!

Annyway, I cant open a dds file in paint. only a jpg. I renamed it but did'nt work.

And yes you can use my ceres all you want when i'm done. Just like i'll be giving Wraith my Kharak when im done. And the problem with the black circle might be the polar squares aren't big enough.

Since i cant open anny of the planets in paint, can you PM me a map of the desert 2 planet in jpg format? (For Kharak). And the No atmosphere one to.

I downloaded galaxy forge fresh and tried all above again. It will not let me copy paste ur info into the galaxy forge galscendef file. It say some thing like this file is just for reading. When I try to save your info to the file.

You dont copy it into the galaxyScenarioDef file, you overwright it.

Their different file types. I figured out how to cut the read only off and over write the data. Now im getting a runtime error.
